Trekking freely, without guidance, or only from the donkey! Various roundtrips of 1 day till a week or longer, from May till November.
Discover a countryside, which offers a great variety of forests,like the Mazan Forest with the ruïns of an ancient abbey, fields and the savage beauty of the ancient volcanoes, such as the famous Mt. Gerbier de Joncs, where you will find the Springs of the Loire, or the big lake of Issarles, whithin a volcanic crater.
The area has a fine network of tracks and various kinds of lodgings, like ''auberges''( inns) or " gîtes".

Off to Aubenas ,then the N 102 till Pont de Labeaume , the D 536 ,through Montpezat., up for 12 km., direction Mt. Gerbier de Joncs: on the right: Rousset du Lac.
by LE PUY the N 102 direction Aubenas, at Lanarce left to St. Cirgues en Montagne. Take left the D 110 (5 km ) and to the right the D536 ( 2 km) : Rousset du Lac.
