The GR® 70, also known as the Stevenson Trail, is one of France’s most beloved hiking routes. This iconic path crosses the Massif Central, historically connecting Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille to Saint-Jean-du-Gard over approximately 250 kilometers.

This historic route was made famous by the pioneering writer Robert Louis Stevenson, who walked it in 1878 accompanied by his donkey Modestine, which carried his belongings.
