Major Long-Distance Trails
The “Major Long-Distance Trails” are those legendary, prestigious, or historic routes that connect multiple regions of France—and sometimes Europe—in a linear journey.
A Unique and Unforgettable Adventure
Thanks to the diversity of their landscapes, climates, and people, these trails offer a long-distance adventure that can also be split into several stages.
In the classification of the French Hiking Federation, their names begin with “GR” and are often featured in dedicated topographic guidebooks.
Whether trendy or nearly forgotten, FNAR donkey handlers will help you (re)discover these paths from a new perspective: an unforgettable and unique adventure awaits!
Commitments of FNAR Donkey Handlers on Long-Distance Trails
- Planning support and itinerary advice in accordance with our ethical charter
- Return transport of your donkey at the end of the route
- Depending on the provider:
